Audi Q5 factory reset trouble

my mom's Audi Q5 was having this annoying issue where the screen would just go blank sometimes.

I'm trying to help and did a factory reset on the MMI system, and boom, that screen problem is GONE! Awesome, right?

Well, now she's lost Apple CarPlay, and the reverse camera isn't popping up anymore. Ugh. It's like I fixed one thing and broke two others!

Has anyone run into this after a factory reset on their Audi? Any ideas on how to get CarPlay and the camera back? Any help would be super appreciated!

@_sugarpie I had the same issue on my Q5 and found that CarPlay needs to be manually re-enabled under the Smartphone Settings after a reset, plus you'll have to re-pair the phone. For the camera I cycled through reverse with the ignition on to trigger a recalibration, and a quick MMI firmware update through the dealer restored the backup feed.

I'd prolly do the same, try to go back into the MMI menu and look for the Audi smartphone interface or a Connection Manager setting. You'll likely need to manually turn it back on and then re-pair your mom's phone. For the camera, check the display settings. If its not a simple setting you can flip back on, a quick trip to the dealer might be needed to get it re enabled.
