My 55yo dad just got himself a 2025 Q5 plugin hybrid, brand new, and still smells like the car dealership lol. He hasn't used the combustion engine. Usually gets 32 miles on full charge but can reduce when going uphill. The Q5 is better built than the Q3, uses better internal materials and the MMI is significantly better. He often has short drives, but will go for the car's first long drive this weekend from Mississippi to Texas.

Um... congrats to your old man I guess. That first long trip will be a good test to see how the hybrid system balances out with the gas engine. He should also consider joining the forum

Thanks, yeah I thought that too, but he's really a fan of the internet or commenting on a forum

How was the long drive? and what did he think about his Q5?

congrats on the new q5 phev!!! 32 miles on full charge sounds great but i guess uphill can affect it. and yeah, q5 does have better build quality than the q3.
