I need advice upgrading my 2019 Audi Q5 MMI

I've got a 2019 Audi Q5 with the standard 7-inch non-touch display. I've been browsing around and noticed that newer 2021–2022 MMI units with 10.2-inch touchscreens are up for sale. I'm wondering if these newer MMI setups can be installed in my 2019 Q5. Has anyone tried this upgrade? Any advice or insight would really help

So, here's an honest opinion about those OEM MMI upgrades in Audis. it's usually way more complicated than just swapping the screen. Those MMI units are super deeply integrated with the car's brain (the CAN bus, component protection, etc.)

It wont be an easy thing at all honestly and you'll likely run into component protection because the newer 10.2 inch MMI units run on updated hardware and often need a matching control unit, touchscreen interface, and sometimes even a new trim bezel, so you'd need someone with the right tools to code and adapt it to your car and it sure can get pricey
