So there I was, cruising my MY24 Q5 Sportback S-line, feeling fancy in Ultra Blue, when the dashboard decided to throw some shade. Twice, the system popped up: "Traffic sign recognition unusable at this time." The common denominator? Passing near a military base with a plane radar installation. Coincidence? I think not. Here's the kicker: the manual says this is a "Camera-based traffic sign recognition" system. Excuse me, but unless there's a ninja radar hacking my camera or an alien ship jamming signals, I'm struggling to connect the dots. Is this a tech bug, radar interference, or did I just uncover the next X-Files episode? Fellow skeptics and car geeks, break it down for me. Is this a common Q5 thing, or am I just a magnet for bizarre tech drama?

I sure hope it has something to do with aliens,, but i know someone also owning a q5 who got a poor visibility warning on a perfectly good day 🍕

no, definitely not an x-files mystery! hahahhaa, I know this is pretty common especially if you're passing a military base. they usually have signal jammers or something! or maybe they have equipment with high intensity signals or something that can cause you to glitch. not a big issue. don't worry too much about it.

It's not unheard of for radar installations to interfere with car systems even camera based ones due to electromagnetic signals. Have you noticed this issue anywhere else or is it just near the base? Worth checking if Audi has any software updates to iron out occurences like this.
