I just bought a 2021 SQ5 Premium Plus with 27k miles not from an audi dealer. They offered me a 6-year or 100k-mile extended warranty for $4,500 through Allstate starting now and ending in 2030.. i can take it to any audi dealer and they will handle the claim. it doesn't cover stuff like tires, brake pads, or spark plugs, but I've got the brochure. Is this warranty worth it? Do big things break on these cars? The covered stuff (like the cool camera systems) seems solid, but I'm worried they'll just deny claims with dumb excuses.. i googled it but only found sales sites, no real stories from people with fancy german cars like this.. what do you think??

I would definitely read through again and dig deeper. as you know warranties can b tricky.. hope it works out for you!

as someone who dislikes the idea of an extended warranty, thinking it just benefits the companies not the vehicle owners themselves, I suggest you check thoroughly like highbeam75 here said. it may not be worth it. but yeah sure you can definitely consider if you are still far from the 100k miles. but snce this is not an audi dealer are you sure you're not being ripped?

No long talk here, If you plan to keep it long term and want peace of mind, it might make sense so be sure to look thoroughly into it (like real thorough), otherwise, save the $4,500 and self insure for repairs.

I always say, I'd rather have it and not use it than regret not having it when I need it. $4,500 is pretty steep tho, any chance you get this at a lower price? it won't hurt to ask I guess?

I would echo everyone else's sentiment.. $4,500 for that extended warranty is a tough call!
It might be worth it if you're the type who likes peace of mind and unexpected repair bills.
But if you're handy and okay with some risks, you better save that money.
Just make sure you to keep all your service records and get everything in writing about claim denials!
Anyway, as far as I know, Allstate's reputation is decent, but don't skip reading the fine print!
