my highmileage audi hero is begining to show its miles and this time its trough the clutch the usual stuff studers shakes the lot. my quesion is does anyone have an idea of how much it costs to replace it?

hey man, was wondering what you ended up doing... my friend apparently works at a audi and i got info from him that it costs around $3,800 for the clutch. if you need to replace the megatronic unit too it's going to cost apparently around that same price also. a little too much than i expected. so let me know want to help.

i just wanna add up that if your flywheel is worn you might need to replace it or resurfaced it and that can add up to additional $300-$600 to the total cost. so, have that into consideration also

Any update? I wanna know if the issue really is the clutch? I was thinking maybe it has something to do with the transmission since it shakes.

A friend recently got into a similar situation where her car did the dreaded clutch shudder!
It turned out her flywheel was also shot so that easily added almost $1,000 to the total cost!
