I went to work this morning and wanted to listen to the morning radio while driving. But in the middle of driving, the radio stopped. the screen was still on, looked normal, but there wasn't any sound from the speaker. idk what happened with my radio, anyone here had an issue like this? tell me how to fix this guys. I hate that I have to go to the dealer for this

i haven't had that problem but you might wanna try to restart the system or disconnect your phone and try to connect it again. Are you sure the input was set to radio? you also might wanna check the audio settings for balance/fader issues. if nothing works then probably you should take it to the dealer

Ugh, this is annoying! i like my morning drive with music always. this has never happened to me but i believe that the classic turning the radio off and on is the first thing you can do then check the antennas and wirings. Hopefully this is not a faulty head unit . let us know if you find the cause!

Try restarting the system or checking the audio settings for mute or volume issues. If that doesn't work, you might want to check the wiring behind the radio, but if not, taking it to the dealer might be the quickest move

that's too bad. I think the q5 is quite prone to these radio issues. have you tried restarting? or checking if it goes back to normal after pairing and unpairing. if it's persisting then maybe it's a firmware issue already so if your q5 is still under warranty you could try bring it to the dealer and they for sure can help.

Hey, I'm curious if you've tried any of their tips?
You didn't mention which radio config you got but consider also doing a hard reset. It worked for a friend!
So you hold down the volume knob and the navigation / map button simultaneously for about 15 seconds.
That forces a deeper system reboot and often clears out glitches causing audio dropouts.
If that doesn't work, then it might be a deeper issue with the amplifier or MMI unit, something that requires professional diagnosis.

Thanks for this! my sis is having the same issue. I will have her try the hard reset
