planning to get a q5 50 phev and im wondering will there be an issue if I run on petrol only? and what bhp I could get? Asking this since im often going to be away from home.

There wouldnt be an immediate and/or major issues with that, tho it might limit your car's efficiency since its purposely designed to use both. so basically if you only use petrol then the components connected to fuel only usage will need more maintenance than the electric and so you will maintain more often than not even though you only use one and not both

a hybrid is just a petrol car with the ev motor disconnected so if the battery is empty you'll run on petrol power only and have about 100hp less to drive around. other than that you have nothing else to worry about

265 bhp if petrol only. but i'm just thinking. why? what's the purpose of getting electric cars if you're just gonna run on patrol? that defeats the purpose.

Haha, yeah, it's like buying a vegan burger but with extra bacon coz like what's the point of going electric if you're still guzzling petrol really? It's like saying you're on a diet but eating cake for breakfast, maybe they just want you to have the best of both worlds... lol
