I am thinking of getting a gas powered Q5. i want to know its actual fuel efficiency mainly im going to use it for hway driving and short trips..

In reality, these gas powered Q5s gets real-world mpg that's a bit lower than EPA ratings, depending on driving style. Around 28-30 mpg for highways if you're cruising at steady speeds. For short trips and city driving, it's usually 20-23, but can drop lower if there's a lot of stop-and-go traffic. Id love to hear what you eventually get @highbeam75

Mine got pretty decent numbers, especially on the highway, closer to 28-29 MPG.

just curious how short are those short trips usually like, under 5-10 miles or just around town as it can make quite a difference.

Yep, agree with everyone else here. your actual mileage can change a bit based on how you drive or the traffic. But those numbers above should give you an idea!

You'll probably get around 28-30 mpg on the highway, give or take, but in the city or on short drives, it'll be less. Just a heads-up, how we drive changes gas mileage.
